[ATM] Friction coating on polar disk

Hi,

I want to drive a polar disk (230mm diameter) of a fork mount with a small
axis (4mm diameter) sticking out of a gearbox. The polar disk has an
aluminium face, and the driving axis is made of 'silver-steel'. The polar
disk rides on bearings, so I can regulate the force excerted by the drive
axis .
What would be the best coating material on the aluminium to obtain a fair
amount of friction? I don't want to put a piece of rubber hose around the
drive axis, since this would compress too much and change the effective
radius.

Thanks,
Arjan te Marvelde
