As far as I know, pure CeO is white.  As mentioned earlier, much of what we
ATMs get is pinkish from trace elements.  I purchased some 1um in a
suspension (Futura-Z) that is white for finishing/figuring and it does a
very nice job.  Not as nice (IMHO) as "ball milled rouge" which I use now.
The suspension does help when using the machines...

For polishing I often pre-polish/flash on an old lap and 5um AlO (~30
minutes) then switch laps and use pink CeO (Willman Bell) until well
polished.  Then clean the lap and switch to BMR (6" ~ 30minutes), then
figure with BMR.

Someday I'll do a sample with each and get some AFM images,  someday...
