Shock of my life today when I received an acknowledgement of a request for
optical glass and Hoya has a minimum order of $1000 plus an end user
agreement as if this was some type of armament that could be used by
terrorists. Considering that the glass comes from countries who are not on a
favoured trade list I find this unusual and almost humorous.  So much for
the Free Trade Agreement. Can anyone point me to a glass supplier that deals
with small quantities and has a reasonable selection of decent glass for the
production of eyepieces?
