CeO comes from a variety of places, trace elements in it determine the 
color of it. It seems most American sourced material is typically the 
ruddy color, while here in my shop we use a French product Cerox 1663, 
which is bone white in color.

The actual particle size and grading quality have more to do with its 
efectiveness than color.
