Hi 

I have been given a new sample of Cerium Oxide (CeO) that is off 
white. The CeO I have been using up until now is dull pink. The the 
off white material in other aspects seems very similar.Can anyone 
comment on the potential quality for optical work. I am most likely 
going to use it anyway  as it is a lot cheaper than the current 
stuff, but I would like some idea of it's potential as I may keep the 
current stuff for figuring if it is a superior product. This is for a 
group of now eight guys, we were four at the beginning of the year. 
Telescope making is growing in South Africa.
