An interesting compliant mechanism for removing backlash in a worm is shown
on page 372 of the original atm book two in the chapter on "Motor Drives,
Counterweighting, Pier-Springfield Mounting by Russell W. Porter. Porter
states that the idea is from Chapman of Riverside, California. This was back
in the days when UCR was an Citrus Experiment Station and one could actually
see stars in Riverside. :-)
