The easiest way for those optics to tested will be to take a small ball and
put it at the focus of the assy. and shine a bright light on the ball so
that the reflection off of the ball will go out the optics and then take a
telescope and investigate the resultant parallel beam of light. Basically
make a collimation source and consider the source to be the optical system
under test.
