Re: [ATM] Two questions on collimation bolts

Will this work? I could drill a hole completely through cell tubing (1"
aluminum). The hole would be a bit wider than the bolt - a 7/16" hole for a
3/8" bolt. Make the holes conical with a bigger drill bit. Get two of that
type of nut that has one rounded side (my hardware vocabulary escapes me) to
attach the bolt end accordingly, rounded ends facing the tubing. Need also
two locking nuts. The cross section from top to bottom: locking nut, rounded
nut (facing down), tubing, rounded nut (facing up), locking nut.
It should work. This is very similar to my coaxial collimator. Search the
atm archives for details.
