Ace indeed does have the inserts; or at least all the ones I've been
to. They have a section in their stores with lots of small drawers
containing all kinds of small hardware, like set screws and such. The
ones I've seen and used are brass inserts. Just ask the "helpfull
hardware man." 8^)
