My recollection is that both reflective and refractive Offner null tests
were performed. The reflective null was supposed to be more accurate.



    What I remember reading was that not one, but two other null tests were
performed and did show the error.  But as previously stated, the reflective
test was considered more accurate.  Why noone figured out WHY the tests
disagreed, one can only speculate.  Must have been pressure to deliver
quickly.
