[ATM] Maksutov Newtonian Relay

Don't knock the humble Newtonian.  The only scopes that perform better than my Newts do so by virtue of a bigger aperture.   Having got that off my chest....

 

Are you considering making the optics?  If you are, then making optics is a craft with many aspects to learn... from handling abrasives, making tools, understanding strokes, when to change abrasives, how to understand and interpret Focault.... ect ect ect...

 

If you must make this Mak-Newt-relay scope then may I suggest a Newt be made first or even at the same time.  Learn and make mistakes on that first before committing any work to the expensive glass.
