[ATM] Polishing lap groove's

   To all....

Mike Linders ( I hope I spelled your name correctly), has made a
statement about using
fiberglass window screening for pressing a fauceted(?) surface onto a pitch
lap. Mike described
the process very well.. I work in the Screening or enclosure of areas to be
screened. I design
enclosure structures around pools, patios and other areas that need to be
bug tight,, (you
see I live in Florida)... I am getting way off topic.. The process that Mike
has described , I have also
done. As Mike has described, this process is very easy and the screen mesh
is available everywhere
let alone at a minimal cost. Fiberglass screening also comes in finer mesh
weaves than the standard
"window" screening (18x15) or (18x14).. I have tried the finer meshes and
they tend to leave
less groove. This process really works well on a tired pitch lap, and you
will find alot more action
on the mirror surface... To hell with the lacy nylon nets in the fabric
department.. make a surface
that move's some stuff around.... Russ Jocoy..... Have fun..
