I wasn't happy with the performance of a full ceramic tile tool used for my last mirror.  I can't be specific what the problem was as I had problems with pits and scratches as well as matching the curves.  It simply didn't feel right.
 
So, I made another tool.  This time using pieces of 1/4 plate glass broken up into squarish pieces and glued to a POP tool.  Even using the same abrasive as before,  I had no further problems and it simply felt right.
