If you want to go the mesh pressing route, many people use onion bag 
mesh, but you can get a finer pattern, possibly more helpful with glazed 
lap syndrome, and possibly better on a smaller mirror, by buying mesh at 
your local fabric store.  You want nylon lace of the type used in 
wedding dress veils, etc.  Most fabric stores have this in a couple of 
different mesh sizes.  It should cost no more than about 1 dollar for 
more than you will need for this mirror.
