You can always measure the TDE ROC if you want to.  At 2mm, you are pretty
much almost done getting rid of it if you continue a bit longer.  You may
also want to open the ROC a bit of the mirror by doing some TOT as this will
wear the outer part of the mirror down faster to the point where the TDE is
removed.
