I'm working on a 4.25" F7.5.  My ronchi test shows that the lines take a jog 
outward at outer 1-2mm of the edge.  Foucault shows diffraction ring only on 
the side of the mirror opposite the knife-edge.  Is there a way to tell if 
this can be polished out?  I have a rather hard lap, and have been working 
on it for a total of about 15 hours or so.

I'd rather not give up and mask it, but if it is something ground in and not 
fixable, I'd rather know now. Is there a way to evaluate the height of a 
TDE?
