Nils Olof Carlin also has an excellent version of his collimation advice at
http://www.atmsite.org/contrib/Carlin/collimation/
It is very thorough and well illustrated.
BTW, the Orion combination sight tube - Cheshire is well made and seems to work
well. Compared to Nils Olof's recommendations, it lacks only one thing. It has
single instead of double crosshairs.
Nils Olof does tell what a laser collimator can and can not do, and tells you
how to use it properly. He also shows that it can be a more powerful tool if
used in combination with a Barlow lens.
