Will someone please explain to me how Newtonians were collimated before the
advent of "The Laser People"?

I think I know, but maybe I don't; maybe I just daydreamed that Newtonians
and Cassegrains predate lasers and other fancy stuff akin to lasers. It
might just be a nutty fantasy I am having in my head; or else I am
subconsciously employing some sort of magic or other legerdermain that my
conscious mind does not know when I collimate either a Newtonian or a
Cassegrain in only seconds, without lasers or brain surgery. Or perhaps I
never did; perhaps these are false, implanted memories I have of how easily
I collimated any kind of compound reflecting telescope in years past.
Perhaps I am a "replicant" with falsely implanted memories, like those
androids in the movie "Blade Runner". But then, most of you guys know that I
actually am certified. Just chalk it up to that, I guess. I'm almost out a
here, anyway, come from a generation that is almost extinct.
