[ATM] Theories on what causes TDE

I'm currently trying to figure a 4.25" F7 and having a harder time than the 
8" F5.5 I did last year.
It just doesn't seem to respond to the same strokes as an 8".
Anybody else find smaller to be harder?

I want to try a gregorian some time, but if I have this much trouble doing a 
4", I would think the gregorian secondary would be murder!
