ATM'ing only, No OT please!

Dear Fellow ATMers,
Is it too much to ask that we do our very best to avoid posting messages 
that are in no way related to telescope making by amateurs? It seems as 
though all it takes any more is one message about something off topic to 
elicit numerurous posts that lead to more and more off topic messages. If 
these messages were informative, where ATMing is concerned, then maybe it 
wouldn't be so bad, but they usually have absolutely nothing to do with 
amateur telescope making ,testing or using. There are far better chatrooms, 
listservs and newsgroups for things like the MIR deorbit or politics.
If you wish to attempt to explain to me why degrading the quality of the ATM 
list is a good thing would you please reply to me at ruuddawgg@hotmail.com 
instead of wasting the resources of the ATM listserver by replying directly 
to this list.
