If the micro polishing technique is employed as described in the NASA paper, you should have a better product. The mechanics of how to get it done are not well understood at this point by a majority of the List. However, new approaches and innovation of processes to get the job reliably done are the same posed for the manufacture of the first Newtonian mirror. Or would you rather be using Speculum today?
