Re: Are Aluminum Mirrors in reach of the ATMs?

The pros have made aluminum mirrors but for us amateurs, the Pyrex is
probably a lot better as it takes the temp differences a lot easier. I'd
also prefer to get the aluminum vaporized onto the glass so that when it
comes time to get a fresh mirror all I have to do is take off the old
aluminum and get some new put on. That's a lot easier than having to
refigure the mirror every time I need a new surface, especially if there's a
lot of corrosion on the surface as the glass will stop the corrosion from
getting any deeper while the aluminum substrate will allow it to get deeper.
