ATM Advice on 10" for first project

        I have decided to go with a 10" pyrex for my first mirror (and telescope) 
using the Newport kit. I just wanted to know if anyone had any suggestions 
of things that I should keep an extra eye on because of differences in 
having a 10" for a first mirror instead of the suggested 6" or 8". I have 
Texereau's book as well as a few very good sources of advice from the 
University of Arizona's astronomical community so as long as I do my 
research before each step I do not forsee any big problems. Thanks.
