ATM Chromium Reflectivity


In my line of work I often get glass surfaces coated with Chromium in the
manufacture of precision encoder discs and scales.  Chromium can be
deposited in very uniform coatings (depending upon the quality of the
process).  The reflectivity is about 50% for the visible and infrared
spectrum but will maintain this for many years, longer than aluminum which
is about 90% reflective.
