I think that's correct. Correction, as a verb, refers to the process
of taking the shape from a spheroid to a parabaloid. As someone
pointed out, a spheroid is an undercorrected parabaloid. If you
correct too much, you have taken out too much material, resulting in a
deeper, over corrected shape than the parabaloid you are trying
for.
