ATM burgundy pitch

    Just thought I'd pitch in.

Here in India when I made my 6" mirror (we have no Burgundy pitch or Gugolz
pitch, I just used asphalt - coal tar - for polishing along with some Red
Rouge that a maker of glasses was kind enough to sell me), I melted the
pitch and filtered it through some fine linen and had no scratches. Did you
filter (strain) your pitch. I would probably do that even if the
manufacturer says its not necessary.
