Do try to fully illuminate the CCD chip with the appropriately sized
diagonal.  You will thank yourself repeatedly for this as you image
night after night.  Flat fielding with fall off illumination is all that
much harder.  Obstruction effects will not impact a CCD image - the
chip's resolution is way too coarse.  You can obstruct up to 50% of the
primary and still not really notice.
