1/3 stroke turns to be 2/3 stroke (was RE: ATM Pressure during polishing??)

Ken,

When I read your post I realized that the strokes I've been using were
actually 2/3 strokes, not 1/3 COC!!!! And I've been using this kind of
stroke right from the beginning!!

Okay, what should I do now? Is it a problem? I tested the mirror with
Ronchi, but except for a small bending of the lines at the edge of the
mirror, I saw nothing else, the lines were straight accross the mirror
but were not smooth. What I mean with "not smooth" is that though they
were straight lines, the sides of the lines were not clearly defined
(the sides were blur). Boy, it's so hard to explain it, I hope you
understand what I'm saying.
My conclusion regarding the Ronchi image was that the mirror is not
completely polished, but I'm not so sure now.

Will the strokes I'd been using cause a problem? If this is a problem,
will it be fixed if I keep on polishing with 1/3 stroke (the real one)?

Please, don't tell me to go back to fine grinding.... or maybe I
should....
