ATM 3M Black Velvet no longer made

Got the following message back from 3M on the "3M Black Velvet" (which they
refer to as "Nextel Velvet Black").

>Thank you for your inquiry to our website. Nextel Velvet Black was
>discontinued with no replacement in 1980. You may wish to consult the
>Thomas Register for possible manufacturers of a like product.

Now... there is a company called Red Spot Paint & Varnish Co., Inc. who sells
a "Nextel Black Suede" paint that is a flat black paint that is a two part
paint. From what I understand it is painted on in two parts and is a soft
suede-like finish that is resistant to scratching/maring. Could this be the
same product?
