Hello Jay,

I didn't mean to give the idea that it was good to have dirty optics.
What I really meant to say was - Yes ,it does mess up the view - But,
just wait till see what cleaning does to the glass surface if you
don't do it right. Well- I wouldn't admit this to anybody but you
guys; But I once sent a 8" mirror (that was mine from the "word go")
that needed recoating to the coaters. They did a good job, but sent
a note with the returned mirror that the glass was scratched! And
all this time I thought it was in the coating! Look; I'm only
trying to help here. May I quote you? - OK - "Sure you might not be
able to notice it" That's key! I challenge you to tell me which
is the dirty mirror; Not, which has more eye grease on the lens.
(that "IS" important!) Just try me Jay!

-Good post. - I like that! <G>
