 If I follow the above correctly, I presume something similar. <g>

 I cut a single circle of desired diamater in the middle of a piece 
of wood, then cut the wood width-wise to create two identical boards 
to support the trunnions. Make the teflon the same width as the 
router bit - the formica doesn't add much <g> !

 Of course, this means cutting a second circle the same size from 
another smaller scrap of wood...
