Well, when I made mine, I was doing the mirror all the way, then found I
wanted to star test & needed to build the other stuff.  The only problem
with doing the tube first is you will want to make sure you know the exact
focal length of the mirror before cutting the tube & placing holes for the
focuser & spider.  So maybe do everything up to cutting the tube, & then go
for the mirror, and you'll be fine.
