ATM Answer to the Odd Polishing Problem

Well, my rippling problem on the mirror turns out to be a
combination of 3 things.

        1. My stroke was way too short. I was using 1/4 strokes and they
might even been a little shorter. I was trying to get rid of the last
vestiges of a turned down edge, and erred on the side of too small.

        2. There was a temperature change. The weather in Central PA has
been in the 60's and 50's for the past week.

        3. My pitch need retired, I think. The pitch is rock hard at the
temperatures this past week. But if the temperature rises back to the 70's,
it seems okay. That isn't much working range for the pitch, I would think.

My pitch has had plenty of additives to it over time, but I think
there may be something I am missing that is giving it such a short working
range.I think it is time to switch to Gugolz Pitch, as I am told it has a
better working range.

Sigh... and just when I got my wife to say, "you know that piney
pitch really doesn't smell all that bad"
