ShamShuiPo, Hong Kong has a neat little Dual Step Motor Driver (DIY kit
9013-KT) that is built into a parallel port plug.  This looks like it should
drive a Bartel type telescope system (at least for smaller scopes and
motors).   I would probably want to vent the case of the port plug, and put
a CPU fan on it.  I haven't tried this, but would be interested in
experiences of others.  The kit is sold in the US by Marlin Jones
