ATM Mount for 6"

Hi again,

Someone gave me a 6" mirror, something like 43.5" in focal-length. I'd 
like to make the most portable. What kind of mount would you recommend? 
This is my first telescope, so I don't want to do anything too fancy.
I got the impression that:

1. Dobson is easiest to make,
2. Dobson is better for use in bigger aperture telescopes,
3. Equaterial is best for star-tracking,

So?
