Just curious... why us a multi-point floating mirror cell.  I understand
that it relieves stress on the mirror which can alter its parabola.  But
many of the commercial suppliers of scopes up to 16" simply put the
mirror flat against (glue it with RTV) to a cork backing or some other
material.  This gives the mirror even support across its etire back.
What are the benefits to this more complex design?
