Drop by the chemistry department at your local college/university and see
if they sell aspirators from their stockroom, or pick up a lab supply
catalog to browse.  They used to be very popular, before everybody started
worrying about conserving water; and in the teaching labs (where equipment
is guaranteed to be abused) they're a heck of a lot easier to repair than
a mechanical vacuum pump.

If you want a good test of your glassblowing skills, they're not that hard
to make....
