I was taking some aluminum cans to the metal recycing place today, and I saw some broken down streetlight poles, these were aluminum and in lengths up to 12 feet or so, with a tapering diameter of 7-8 to 3-4 inches for the top sections. I thought - what a great refractor tube! But I don't really have the will or money to make a refractor of that size.. :( Thanks, Rick
