ATM Source: Epoxy & Carbon Fiber
Hi Folks:
If you're looking for an excellent epoxy that doesn't shrink as it
hardens, try EZpoxy, manufactured by the Hexcel Corp. They developed it
about 15 years ago specifically for Rutan Aviation's kit planes, but now
everone uses it. You can buy it from Aircraft Spruce & Specialty Co., 201
W. Truslow Ave., Fullerton, CA 92832, phone: (714) 870-7551. They sell a
1-1/2 gallon kit for $78.00.
I discovered Aircraft Spruce & Specialty 20 years ago when I made my
living building and repairing musical instruments. I used to use their
kiln dried spruce for making dulcimers and repairing guitars.
Today they sell EVERYTHING you need to build kitplanes and homebuilt
aircraft including Hexcel's EZpoxy AND a complete line of fiberglass and
carbon fiber cloth and thread. Aircraft Spruce & Specialty has a website
at <http://www.aircraft-spruce.com>. When it first comes up, click on the
center of the propeller logo in the middle of the screen. That SHOULD
bring up more pages and more info, but they're remodeling the site right
now, so don't be surprised if it acts a little sticky.
