ATM Focusing question
One more question if I might.
When I put my mirror in my scope early on in my figuring
stages, it was still daylight. So I focused on the farthest
thing I could see which was some trees. They were only about a block
away. When I tried to focus on the leaves, I had to pull my eyepiece
out past the end of focuser travel. Later that night, I tried to check
out some stars. It seemed that I needed to go in farther than my
focuser would allow but maybe just a 1/4"(just a guess). Focusing on
something so close as a tree a block away, and having to pull the
eyepiece 'out', is this normal. Should I mount my mirror a little higher
up in the tube so that the star focuses and not worry about trees a
block away? And before anyone says it, I plan on using it for looking at
stars and planets, not trees a block away, but I just wanted to know if
this is normal....and not some major problem with my scope.
Thanks again.
