ATM 8" kit received

Hi I've received my 8" mirror kit and a sq ft of Cera-Hex-Tol(TM) from W-B
today.
Now, I have two Duran-50 blanks (4.5" & 5") and two 8" pyrex blanks.
Should I practice the 4"/5" first then proceed to the real job of 8"?

Have anyone tried wth the Cera-Hex-Tol?  Is it good enough?  I'm going to
see if similar things are available in local store.  Now the first step is
to make a plaster tool with those tiles sticked on it, isn't it?  In using
the tiles, do I need to keep the edges beveled?  What precautions should I
take for such kind of tool?  Thanks for your help!
