I am working deep spheres for wide field Schmidt cameras. I decided
to go with a turntable for the corrector. The stylus was of cource
replaced for grinding. However, double-checking Wikipedia, the
contact profilometer is basically very similar to an old record
player in that it has a stylus. I am sure a contact profilometer
is a high precision tool, but I wonder, are there are any ATMs doing
such/similar contact profilometry, maybe a homemade rig?
