Sure, just look at some filters. Some of mine are guaranteed to
be 1/20 wave precision. BTW, I asked how they accomplish this
for such tiny filters (about 1/4 to 1" diameter). They make a
much larger flat and then cut disks out of it, so the initial
glass was quite large. I would guess these are 1-3 mm thickness.
