Re: [ATM] stepper motor circuit with autoguide for 148 tooth gear??
Basically pout, a router control works on AC power only. What
happens simply is that the speed control knob selects a phase
angle of the Alternating current at which it turns on thepower
from the input cord to the output socket. This is done through
tome interestingly subtle devices. Phase angle is from 0 deg.
(fully on) to 19- deg (fully off). The power supplied to thge
router motor is approximately the sum of the power that gets
through the router control. The power is done on both sides of
the ?AC waveform (a sinesuoidal wave( and is approximately equal
on the two halves of the sinewave of the power. There is no
frequency control at all of the power but rather just a sudden
turning on of the interior switch (the TRIAC( at some point in
the half cycle of the power and the automatic switchoff of that
connection when the voltage goes to 0 volts.
In other words, just a simple electronic switch that turns on at
a particular point in the AC waveform according to the setting of
the knob and the turnoff of the switch when the voltage of the AC
power goest through the zero point.
