The source is a bare laser diode without the collimating lens.  It
makes a cone large enough to cover the mirror.  The source was put on
the same stage as the camera--a web cam without the lens.  It's a real
artificial star test, except that we aren't worried about the large
amount of spherical aberration present in testing a paraboloid at COC,
because the data reduction should take care of that.

Dale is getting some better images than what he posted, before.  I
have spent some time trying to  analyze them, but have not had much
success, yet.  There are some practicalities of actual images that are
harder than simulated images.
