[ATM] The grind
There is something about grinding that I like. It is a cathargic release
from the day. Come home, scatter some grit on the glass and hog a bit. I
think it is because in half a dozen wets or so I can measure the progress.
Part of me wants to go on, part says to wait, save it for another day
when petty problems have run me to the ragged edge and I need a release.
14.5 inch f7. I need about 8.5 64ths. I have 3/64ths by the depth gauge.
I got it there in 3 hours of fiddling and switching tools.
Day one was the most fun. I discovered I had no coarse grit. So I
crunched up an old carborundum wheel that had a chip out of one side. I
used the crushed wheel and another as a tool and started hogging. Carbo
doesn't cut like the Silicon Carbide does so it was alot of work for not
much gain. S' OK. The day was gray and it felt good to grind again.
