[ATM] Ultrathin mirrors, a grinding machine

In an effort to better understand the dynamics of pushing ultrathin glass,
I made a simple hand crank grinding machine. Belt driven, I can attach a
motor and belt drive the crank to automate the grind.

It ain't pretty, but it works. I made it specifically for pie plates so
it is probably smaller than most. The photos are taken on the workbench
in the wood shop. I used nylon bearings, pipe for the shafts and plywood
for the body. It will handle up to a 12 inch piece of glass.

It is patterned after a Waineo but I used a Hindle type alligator to
control the plates so they could be held by the top edge. Hence the name
Waindle.

With no weight the pie plate will rotate as strokes are taken but once
some weight is added to the pie plate the rotation stops. I will have to
put a kicker of some type at the edge so the pie plate is nudged a bit and
rotated as the strokes are taken.
