Yeah... If you can find some way to ration the alcohol 
  consumption, you won't need a fancy valve. Another good
  aspect of the alcohol drive is even if the rate isn't accurate...
  By the time you discover it, you won't care!

The only problem I see with the alcohol base is that
the fluid level will go down by a couple of ounces an
hour (or a few 12-oz increments every hour) depending
