"The atmospheric pressure will affect this drive also...." I say as though
this is the biggest problem with this method.

I doubt there will be a clamor for this or the "McCreary mount/drive" no
matter who gets credit for it.

If we are looking for light weight.... just how much does the jug of water
weigh? And the ladder?


I'll carry a battery and an electric drive, periodic error and all. Or maybe
a watermelon.

PS... a stopped  24 hour clock  is only wrong once a day. The same is true
for a stopped telescope clock drive. This is not a new idea but my
synergistic application to driven telescopes is. But I will let you use it.
