Greetings Again!

I have apparently drawn quite a bit of "lightning" with my recent postings and
my web site, and that's good! I genuinely appreciate everyone who has taken the
time and energy to interact with me on this. One of my personal heros is Burt
Rutan, and he has a saying in his organization: "Question, Don't Defend!" - and
so I am grateful for questions and comments, and I consider them all.

Thanks for both the applause and opinions. :) However, please allow this
clarification, copied directly from the "Mount" page of my web site
( http://subarcsec.com/4691/index.html )

"I claim the following as being, in their combination and synergy, the 
essential
  elements of my invention. To the best of my knowledge and belief, this unique
  combination of elements has not previously been invented or disclosed."

In other words, I have not claimed that each and every independent element 
of the
design is purely original, but that as a whole this is new and unique. All 
invention
begins with some precedents in material or form that are combined in new ways.

One of my concerns from the beginning has been that, due to its simplicity, 
many would
glance at this and dismiss it out of hand without recognizing the 
synergistic value
of the design.

To use a "language" analogy, each of the elements is a "word", but from what
I have so far seen, my particular arrangement of those "words" has formed a
new "sentence".

However, by the same analogy, at least one "word" by itself is still (to my 
knowledge)
original and unique in and of itself, and that is the design of the polar 
hinge.
I will comment more on that in a later post, at least to the extent of how it
differs from all cites I've seen so far and why the difference is very 
significant.

I will also respond to specifics of other posts in a subsequent post or 
two, rather
than make this post too long. :)

Again, my appreciation to all who have offered cites, comments, etc.! :)
